New Year at The Ritz

2011 Sun Sets for the Last Time

We had a fantastic time welcoming in the 2012 New Year at The Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay.
This is our third time there and we've always enjoy it since we get to bring along our dog Gibson. The Ritz Carlton has one of the best coastal views and golf courses along the Pacific.
It is about 25 miles south of San Francisco and sits near the small community of Half Moon Bay.

The Cottage Rooms are luxurious with a nice interior and outside gas fire pits
It does get windy and cold though, so be sure to take layers of clothing. The Ritz does provide blankets for outside use in the evening and the blankets are needed!

The Ritz has a beautiful area out in gardens over looking the sea with a bar, cocktails and the bittersweet sounds of bagpipes drifting by.

We loved looking at the ocean with a glass of wine and listening to the evening bagpipes while Gibson had a good time sniffing around.

For New Year’s Eve we started with wine flights at Evo, the luxe wine bar and then moved on to a fantastic dinner at The Navio Restaurant that really helped start the new year with good food, wine and beautiful night time views of the Pacific.
The views were outstanding, the room was incredible and we had a wonderful time.
Highly recommended!
